Instructions for Abstract Submission

POSTERS

All contributed presentations are posters. The deadline for submission of poster abstracts is Friday, June 16. It is likely that all posters will be accepted, but in case an unexpectedly large number of posters are submitted, acceptances will be on a first-come first-served basis.

The posters are going to be attached to 30 x 40 inch boards by thumb tacks that will be provided at the poster presentation site. We recommend a poster size of 30 inches wide and 40 inches high. However, if you already printed your poster we can rotate the poster board to landscape format 40 inches wide.

INVITED TALKS

Oral presentations are by invitation only. Invited speakers will be contacted and asked to provide an abstract by Friday, June 16 at the latest.

For the invited talks we will provide a laptop with PowerPoint, Keynotes, OpenOffice, and Acroread. We recommend that you either bring your talk on a memory stick, CD-Rom or e-mail it to me a few days before the conference. If you prefer you can also bring your own laptop.

ABSTRACT FORMAT

The suggested format of abstracts for contributed poster and invited oral presentations is the same. If possible, please download the LaTeX template and modify for your use. Alternatively, please download the formatted sample abstract and make some attempt to match its style. Abstracts should be prepared for printing on 8.5x11 paper. If possible, please convert your abstract to PDF and email the PDF as an attachment, but LaTeX and attachments are also acceptable.

Abstracts should be emailed to abstracts@es06.mps.ohio-state.edu before the June 16 deadline. (Please make sure that your email cannot be mistaken for an email virus -- for example, the message body should not be empty.)
